Date: December 12, 2013

On December 10, the signing ceremony of the 4,200t/d cement production line EPC project in Adrar, Algeria took place at the Great Hall of the People. The project will be constructed by China Triumph International Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (CTIEC) and STG Engineering and Real Estate Development Company, Algeria.

Located in south Algeria's city of Adrar, with a designed daily output of 4,200 tons of clinkers, the project can output 1.5 million tons of ordinary Portland cement (including 200,000 tons of oil well cement) annually, and involve a complete production line from mining to finished cement dispatch. CTIEC undertook engineering design, equipment supply, civil construction, equipment installation, staff training, production commissioning and compliance assessment service, with a construction period of 28 months. Using state-of-the-arts and advanced cement production processes and equipment, the project will output ordinary Portland cement and API oil well cement scarce locally, thus bringing CTIEC's oil well cement technology to Algeria for the first time. With low heat loss and power consumption as well as complete environmental measures, the project will effectively alleviate the actuality of cement undersupply in Algeria after its completion.

Following the ceremony, a host of media outlets like China Building Materials News, China Building Materials, dcement.com and ccement.com interviewed Bassa Bakhshi, representative of STG. He said, Algeria's cement industry is promising and STG thought CTIEC has advanced cement technologies and world leading engineering management capacity, believing that CTIEC would build the project into a top cement production line in Algeria. In view of CTIEC's wide business scope and superb business capacity, the two sides will widen and deepen cooperation in other building materials and the housing industry, he added.
